A Mala That Remembers
This Bodhi seed mala carries age and presence.
The seeds come from an original strand — worn smooth by hands, breath, and time. Their rich brown tone speaks of devotion, while the green cord and tassel bring a grounding, earthy energy.
It feels like something ancient. Something real. Something meant to last.
The Meaning Carried in Bodhi Seeds
In Buddhist tradition, Bodhi seeds represent the moment of awakening — when the Buddha sat beneath the Bodhi tree and saw clearly. These beads are a quiet echo of that clarity. Each one invites stillness and attention.
Their texture is soft but substantial. Their shape, gently irregular — a sign of age, and of story.

Handmade in Tibet
This strand was re-strung in Tibet, keeping the original 80–90-year-old Bodhi seeds intact. The guru and stupa beads are also Bodhi seed — continuing the thread of consistency. And at the base, a yak bone pendant adds a sacred final touch — symbolizing strength, impermanence, and connection to the natural world.
The durable green cord and matching tassel were chosen with intention, bringing a feeling of rootedness to the mala’s presence.

Silent Stones · The Weight of Faith
Near sacred Gang Rinpoche stand ancient totems of Manidobeng (prayer stone mounds). Stacked stones form the high‑land spiritual energy field. Elders hold prayer beads and spin prayer wheels, circling repeatedly to harmonize universal energy and pray for all living beings.
