Prepared according to the standard traditional method and recipe found in ancient texts, these Tshepagme Tibetan Incense Sticks are specially designed as a puja offering for Amithaba (Amitayus): the Buddha of Infinite Light.
Known also as Amida Buddha, he is the Pure Land Buddha who oversees Sukhavati, the Western Pure Land of Mahayana Buddhism. Pure Land Buddhists believe in various "pure lands", which are each ruled over by a different Buddha. One can be reborn into a pure land by following the teachings of the ruling Buddha. Each of these pure lands is a conceptual "place" where enlightenment comes easily and the environment nurtures the practice of Buddhism.
